PENDANT LIGHt
Installation guide

Installing you NAXOS® Lighting Kit is an easy and fun project for the whole family! Planning is a must, spend some time and decide how you want your yard to look!

Planning

In the Box

5 Light Pendant Kit

  • 5 pendant lights
  • 5 lever connectors, covers and mounting screws
  • 1 – 60 Watt Transformer
  • 60ft of Low Voltage Wire

01

In the box.

Find a standard outlet located near where you want to install your new lights. You have the option of 1 – 60ft run or 2 – 30ft runs of brown low voltage wire and up to 6 lights on this kit (your kit has 4). You will eventually mount the transformer to the wall next to the outlet, however, DO NOT PLUG IN THE TRANSFORMER YET!

02

Decide how you will run the wire.

Set the pendant lights just under where you want them to hang. Getting the wire up to the lights is easier than you think! Gutters, raised features and corners are your friend!  Lay the wire on the ground next to each light and be sure to leave enough wire to get up to the soffit.

03

Ways of attaching the wire.

There are many options how to mount or hide the wire, the 2 most common and easiest are attaching the wire to the wooden fascia using wire  fasteners or simply sliding the wire under the aluminum edging. A third option is fishing the wire light to light through the soffit and attic.

Connecting the Lights

04

Mount Your First Light

Be sure the THE TRANSFORMER IS NOT PLUGGED IN! Start with the light closest to the power supply. You will trim the power wire the distance between each light, but only do this as you go light to light.

Decide how low you want the lights to hang, trim the attached wire accordingly and slide the wire through the small hole on the aluminum connector cover.

Attaching the wire.

Strip the wire about 1/4”. Lift the lever connector completely to a 90 degree then insert the wire in the round port on one side of the lever connector. Be sure that one wire in on a blue lever and one is on an orange leaver then close the lever by returning it to its original position.

Attaching the wire.

Attach the connector and cover to the soffit or fascia with the provided screws. The placement is totally up to how you want the lights to look and hang.

Repeat step 4 for each additional light.

When you reach the last light, simple don’t attach another extension.

Installing the Transformer

Do not plug the transformer into the outlet yet!

05-A

Wall or Post Installation

Attach the transformer to the wall or a post by using the appropriate screws (Not Included). Remove the plate cover, located at the base of the transformer.

05-b

Attaching the wire.

Remember, you can have 1 or 2 runs and up to 6 lights per transformer. Split the brown wire into two legs then strip each end to reveal 1/2” of bare wire and connect the wire by pressing on the quick connectors and inserting. Release pressure and each wire should stay in place.

*TIP: Only one leg of the wire has text printed on it, be sure that one plain and one text are inserted in the transformer.
* wire may be brown, black or gray

Plug in the Transformer

06

Plug the transformer into an outlet!

The lights will come on for a few seconds. If it’s light outside, cover the optical sensor with something to simulate nighttime. If all the lights come on, you’ve done a great job
